COSMAP expands its range of robotic cells whit the new IRT cell, equipped whit a force compensator and integrated electro-spindle. This innovative application is designed for the automated finishing of a various surfaces, ensuring maximum quality even when there are variations in the shape or orientation of the workpiece.
\nThis technology provides valuable support for replacing strenuous and repetitive manual operations, such as grinding, deburring, or finishing performed with an angle grinder or pads. It is an ideal solution for finishing large or very heavy workpieces, where human operation is often exhausting and difficult to sustain over the long term. Moreover, the use of robots for this type of work guarantees consistent and uniform results over time. The IRT application is also perfectly suited for materials other than metal, such as resin, glass, or wood, and offers high efficiency even with small or medium batches, thanks to its ease of programming and the ability to handle complex geometries without complicated tooling operations, made possible by an automatic tool-changing station.
\nThe COSMAP IRT robotic cell with force compensator and end-effector ensures precise and dynamic control of pressure and contact force on the surface, a key element in achieving quality results in orbital and angular grinding, deburring and weld bead reduction, satin finishing, and robotic polishing processes. This feature is essential throughout the entire work cycle, even in the variation\u2019s presence in the shape and orientation of the surfaces.
\nThe system can be supported by code-free robotic programming software, which allows rapid and intuitive robot programming. It is compatible with trajectory input devices such as HTC VIVE, Valve Index, or digitizers (Kreon Technologies, Revware Inc.), and it also allows direct interaction with 3D CAD models or point clouds acquired from 3D sensors.<\/p>\n<\/div>
