At C.O.S.M.A.P. s.r.l., we are committed to supporting our customers in the efficient programming of grinding, polishing and buffing processes for Cosmap machines. We do this through the use of our proprietary application: (C³) Cosmap CAD/CAM. The Cosmap CAD/CAM (C³) software allows you to create programs quickly, intuitively and accurately, loading them directly onto Cosmap automatic machines to achieve excellent grinding, buffing and polishing results.
C³ Cosmap CAD/CAM is a proprietary plugin by C.O.S.M.A.P. s.r.l., designed to provide an advanced 3D modeling environment. The software allows the creation, visualization, and manipulation of detailed mathematical representations of surfaces of any shape. This solution enables us to offer a powerful tool for the specific programming of your COSMAP machines, combining the precision of 3D modeling with the efficiency of machining operations.

✅ Intuitive programming
The user can easily create a new project or edit one that has already been saved. From the creation window, you just need to select the machine format and the type of material to be processed. During the programming, you can control the axes movement, adjusting their position according to your needs and recording the identified point. From the same screen, you can select the commands necessary for programming based on the geometry of the piece to be processed, as well as modify the acceleration, tolerance and speed values.

✅ Buff set configuration
Depending on the complexity of the workpiece, the user can configure the buff pack for each unit. The options include selecting the type, size, and number of discs, the shafts characteristics and the number of spacers and flanges.

✅ Easy export thanks to the post-processor
Once the program is complete, it can be saved and export directly to the Cosmap machine. All lines of code will be displayed in the post-processor window, which acts as the interface for exporting. The saved program will be in .txt format, ready to be imported directly into the Cosmap machine.

✅Program simulation
For optimal process control, the software offers a simulation function that allows to check the brush movement around the workpiece and monitoring various parameters. This feature is particularly useful for detecting potential collisions: by activating it, the user can precisely identify the collision point and promptly correct the coordinates.

✅ Optimal check of machined surfaces
During programming, the ‘Reveal the Path’ function allows you to view all surfaces of the machined workpiece, identify which unit operated on specific points, and thus check for any untreated areas.
